  • Sep 03: First girls to earn Vanguard Light & Truth Award - Vanguard International Scouting Association is proud to recognize the first two girls to earn the new Light and Truth Award. Elizabeth K. age 9 from Buckley WA, Chief Seattle Council, and Emma D. age 10 from Richmond UT, Crossroads of the West Council, both completed the award requirements this summer.

  • 22 Jul: Bob Godfrey, 60 years of extraordinary dedication, He climbed Mt. Washington with his Scouts numerous times, preparing for seven trips to Philmont National Boy Scout Reservation in Cimaron, New Mexico, where they hiked up to over 70 miles. [3]
  • 06 Aug: U.S. Marine and former Scout, Staff Sgt. Taylor Hoover, from Utah, was among the 13 U.S. service members who were killed in Thursday's attack outside the Kabul airport while supporting the evacuation from Afghanistan. We will be forever grateful for his sacrifice and his legacy. [4]
